ABOUT THIS PIECE - 1991
This painting was created in 1991 when I was a senior in high school. I still own the original. What makes this painting unique is that this painting marks the point in my life, when I knew that I was going to be an artist for the rest of my life.
Even to this day, thirty years later, I think it is my best piece of work. I was young and had a love affair with art but felt I would never amount to anything in the art world. Heck, at that age, I didn’t think I would amount to much, in any world. It was the first time, that I truly understood that art and creativity were a path to expression and self-exploration. My creative path had been set.
