I don’t paint animals very often but I really needed a change of pace and thought I would visit one of my favorites of the animal kingdom. The elephant. I’ve had a long time appreciation for elephants and their intelligence, emotional capacity, and family bonds. Their capacity for empathy, loyalty and patience. All traits that the human race can learn to embody a bit more than we do. So, with that, here’s a small painting of an elephant to remind us that the world is bigger than us and with a little empathy we can make room for everyone.
