ABOUT THIS PAINTING - 2010
Between the years of 2008-2012, I worked on an ongoing series of small, mixed media pieces in which I ran my art paper through my old vintage typewriter so that I could type directly onto the painting. The text in this series was not planned ahead of time. I approached the text just like I do all other art. I just start working and let the process evolve as it seems fit at the moment. I loved that this process enforces you to not second guess your ideas. You just commit. That’s the beauty of those old typewriters. Once you hit that key and the ink presses into the paper, it is there, for eternity.
This professional quality print is conveniently sized at 8x10 or 11x14 and is printed on acid-free, bright-white matte finish paper.
There is approximately a 1” (2.5cm) white border around the edge of the image. Each print is hand-signed on the front, lower right corner. Matte is not required.
